As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you would be responsible to lead in the design & development of company products. Projects vary from complex turn-key designs to redesigning existing products. The ideal candidate will have experience with prototyping, new product development and stage-gate process.

Responsibilities

·         Project ownership with responsibility for design, fabrication, installation & successful implementation into full production

·         Project management working with sales, customers, vendors, distributors to develop schedules, budgets and ensure quality of product and deadlines are met

·         Perform traditional analysis in mechanics of materials, dynamics, stress, frequency analysis

·         Design for manufacturability, process improvements

Required Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree

·         5 or more years of experience in manufacturing

·         Proficient in using AutoCAD or SolidWorks

·         Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

·         Understanding design for manufacturability

·         Knowledge of typical manufacturing processes

·         Proven experience meeting deadlines while adapting to changes in the work environment

·         Proficient in selecting different materials, mechanical components and electro-mechanical components. Bushings, Motors, Gears, Sprockets, Cams, Servo-Motors, Bearings
